Tips
  1. Be sure to place recyclables no more than 10 feet from the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day. Please place only full bins on the curb for recycling.
  2. Keep Recycling Clean- When in doubt, throw it out.   Recyclable materials are valuable resources only when they are clean, dry and free of other garbage.
  3. Remember the Renton Recycles program is just one way of recycling.  You can also sell your recyclables to a private recycler or donate them to charitable cause.
  4. Recycle only the materials that are acceptable in the program.
  5. Clean and prepare recyclables properly
  6. Place them in the right bins
  7. Place them at the curb for recycling
  8. Recyclable materials become the property of city's collection contractor when placed at the curb.
